Buying several transformers or reviewing an exact ratio?
For a multi-unit order, specify each electrical configuration, accepted condition and delivery phase. Start with the current equipment records, then request the identity, documents, allocation and quote scope for each proposed unit.
Request a 230/13.8 kV transformer quote
Review the ABB 230 kV delta / 13.8 kV grounded-wye records with their stated cooling and temperature-rise ratings. For replacement or step-down duty, send the existing nameplate and one-line so grounding, phase relationship, protection and physical interfaces can be reviewed.
230/13.8 kV transformers for sale
For a 230/13.8 kV transformer quote, identify the required MVA, operating direction, winding connection, condition, quantity and delivery date. Review the linked equipment's actual nameplate and stated duty; the ratio alone does not establish a GSU or step-down match. Email tommy@jjtransformers.com or call Tommy Marco at 346-276-9540 for the exact equipment record, price and written availability.
Which MVA rating applies to these transformers?
The seller specification gives two temperature-rise bases: 40/53.3 MVA at 55°C and 44.8/59.7 MVA at 65°C. Confirm the required continuous rating, cooling configuration and site conditions against each unit's nameplate and test records.
What should a replacement or spare-unit review cover?
Start with the existing unit's nameplate and the project one-line. Compare winding connections, phase displacement, impedance and its MVA base, tap positions, insulation levels, terminals, footprint and protection requirements.
- Request unit-specific electrical tests and the documented rebuild scope.
- Confirm the included cooling equipment, controls, bushings and loose-shipped accessories.
- Agree on inspection, preparation, loading, transport and receiving responsibilities before shipment.
Is an autotransformer with a 13.8 kV tertiary the same match?
No. A tertiary-winding value does not establish a 230/13.8 kV main-winding match. Confirm which winding supplies the load, its available MVA, construction and grounding. Review the complete unit records with the responsible project engineer.
230/13.8 kV step-down transformer requirements
For a 230/13.8 kV step-down request, provide both source and output winding voltages, required continuous MVA, quantity and project date. Compare the candidate's actual operating-direction limits, winding connections, grounding, taps, impedance, insulation and installation interfaces. The voltage page remains a screening route; the step-down hub explains duty and quotation evidence.
230/13.8 kV transformer sale and quotation requirements
For a 230/13.8 kV transformer inquiry, identify both winding voltages, the required continuous MVA and the proposed step-down, GSU, substation or autotransformer duty. This voltage category helps organize a purchase request; it does not establish stock at every rating or automatically qualify a candidate for the system.
- Specify condition acceptance, quantity, winding connections, grounding, taps, impedance, installation limits and needed-on-site date.
- Match the actual second winding voltage and duty-specific cooling rating; the high-voltage class alone does not identify the required transformer.
Common questions
Written quotes and supporting records control unit-specific ratings, availability, condition, price, and delivery.
Are these three ABB units new?
No. The published lot is pre-owned and rebuilt. Request the unit-specific condition history, rebuild scope, tests and included accessories.
Are these 100 MVA transformers?
No. The published maximum is 59.7 MVA at the stated 65°C rise basis. They are separate from the ABB autotransformer and the new ABB / Hitachi 220 MVA 230/34.5 kV unit.
Can J&J supply a different 230/13.8 kV rating?
Send the required MVA, winding arrangement, quantity, condition requirements, site and delivery date to tommy@jjtransformers.com. Availability and technical fit are confirmed for each offered unit.
Can I request several transformers with different voltage ratios or MVA ratings?
Yes. Send quantity per configuration, winding voltages, continuous MVA, accepted condition and required delivery phase to Tommy. The quotation identifies the actual unit, documents, allocation and included scope for every position. Identical-unit and parallel-operation requirements need explicit review.
