Quote the complete dry-type transformer configuration
A 2000 kVA label does not describe the full transformer. Keep voltage ratio, frequency, winding connection, impedance, taps, cooling and enclosure beside the required capacity. Identify the specified copper or aluminum conductor rather than assuming it from a photograph.

Cast-resin and VPI transformer requests
Eaton publishes cast-resin and VPI dry-type product families. Specify the construction required by your project and request the proposed design's technical package. A catalog example does not establish every voltage, frequency or listing for your order.
For a 12.47 kV to 415 V or 480 V requirement, include the complete secondary connection and neutral arrangement. Ask for losses, sound, enclosure and temperature-monitoring details where the specification requires them. Compare the proposed cooling basis with the continuous load your engineer has approved.
Separate configuration groups and delivery phases
For bulk dry-type transformer orders, list each configuration once with its quantity and required release. Separate spares and optional units from the equipment needed for the first phase.
Planning example: a request for twelve 2000 kVA units in two six-unit deliveries should retain both delivery dates, one approved configuration revision and any two optional spares as a separate line. This is an inquiry format, not an available equipment lot or a delivery promise.
9–11 week OEM delivery target with DDP
The 9–11 week delivery target covers all listed OEM equipment, including transformers through 10 MVA / 10,000 kVA. This total window includes manufacturing, factory testing and shipping to the customer’s site. It starts after PO, approved drawings and the agreed commercial production release. The quotation confirms configuration, quantity, factory allocation, destination and the arrival date.
DDP is included in the confirmed quotation: agreed freight, import clearance and applicable import duties to the named delivery point. Offloading, installation, field testing and commissioning are separate unless expressly included. Equipment above 10 MVA has a separately reviewed schedule.

Match the exact step-down secondary voltage
For three-phase distribution step-down service, send primary kV, secondary voltage and connection, kVA, grounding, frequency and installation requirements. Common project requests include 480Y/277 V, 208Y/120 V and 415 V outputs; actual product configurations and current supply are confirmed by quotation. A high-voltage substation transformer may need additional transformation to reach these load voltages.
Dry-type, cast-resin and VPI purchase specifications
For a dry-type transformer for sale, identify kVA, primary/secondary voltage, phase, frequency, enclosure and installation environment. Cast-resin and vacuum-pressure-impregnated (VPI) construction are specific requirements to confirm for the quoted candidate, not interchangeable labels.
- Include ventilation, ambient temperature, altitude, temperature rise, insulation class, sound constraints and indoor/outdoor enclosure requirements.
- Request winding connections, dimensions, losses and available test records, and confirm the cooling rating used for the proposed load.
