One procurement schedule, separate electrical configurations
Copy the rows from your project equipment schedule into an email, or attach the existing file. Keep capacity, voltage ratio, quantity and delivery phase together. There is no need to retype an established engineering schedule into a website questionnaire.
| Equipment | Configuration fields | Quantity and release |
|---|---|---|
| Pad-mounted transformers | kVA, HV/LV, phase, frequency, winding connection, feed, terminals, fluid and required listing | Units per identical configuration, site and needed-on-site date |
| Dry-type transformers | kVA, voltage ratio, cast-resin or VPI requirement, enclosure, conductor, cooling and site conditions | Quantity, drawing-release date, test scope and delivery phase |
| MV switchgear and LV switchboards | Voltage, continuous bus current, fault duty, construction, incomer/tie/feeders, relays and controls | Lineup count, sections per lineup and shipping splits |
| Circuit breakers | Manufacturer/model if required, voltage, current, interrupting rating, trip/control power and interfaces | Installed devices, spares and phase quantities separately |
500 kVA and larger padmount and dry-type transformer orders
New OEM requirements include 500, 750, 1000, 1500, 2000, 2500, 3000, 4000, 5000, 7500 and 10,000 kVA configurations. Group identical units together and identify any different primary voltage, secondary voltage, taps, winding connection or termination. The factory confirms the requested design, quantity and production allocation before order acceptance.
Buy switchgear, breakers and transformer packages together
Define the MV lineups, LV boards, circuit breakers, busway and transformer interfaces on the same one-line. J&J can review the package together while identifying the actual manufacturer, ratings, protection, test scope and delivery commitments for every item. A board bus rating is not a breaker interrupting rating.
Nine-week OEM delivery target and fast-release inventory
J&J targets nine weeks for qualifying new OEM equipment, including pad-mounted and dry-type transformers from 500 to 10,000 kVA, switchgear and breakers. The target includes manufacturing, agreed factory testing and shipping to the quoted destination after PO, approved drawings and production release. The factory confirms the configuration, quantity, production slot and site-arrival date in the written quotation. Large high-voltage power transformers have a separate unit-specific release and delivery schedule.
- OEM nine-week target, production release and delivered scope
- Existing transformer and power-equipment opportunities
| Supply route | Equipment scope | Delivery basis |
|---|---|---|
| Existing equipment | Documented new/unused, surplus, used or rebuilt transformer opportunities | Confirm the actual unit, allocation, inspection, preparation and transport before accepting the arrival date |
| New OEM programme | 500-10,000 kVA padmount and dry-type requirements, switchgear, breakers and quoted related equipment | Target nine weeks for qualifying configurations; factory slot, quantity and destination confirmed in the quotation |
| Large high-voltage transformers | High-MVA substation and GSU units, replacements and manufacturing positions | Individual written schedule; the nine-week distribution-equipment target does not set the schedule for a large power transformer |
Compare price, tests and delivery on the same basis
Ask for the price and included scope by configuration group, along with the order quantity, drawing milestones, factory tests, warranty and named delivery point. A lower unit price is not a complete package comparison if freight, accessories or required tests differ.
- For DDP quotations, identify the named destination and the agreed freight, import-clearance and duty inclusions.
- Confirm offloading, crane work, installation, field testing and commissioning separately.
- Identify spare parts and any breaker, relay, bushing or accessory exclusions.
- Confirm whether the release supports the entire order or only the first production batch.

Common questions
Written quotes and supporting records control unit-specific ratings, availability, condition, price, and delivery.
Does J&J quote large-volume padmount and switchgear orders?
Yes. J&J reviews multi-unit padmount, dry-type, switchgear, switchboard and breaker schedules for data centers, utilities, EPCs and industrial projects. Quote quantities are grouped by configuration and delivery phase.
Can a bulk order start at 500 kVA?
Yes. New OEM padmount and dry-type transformer requirements start at 500 kVA and extend to 10,000 kVA in the listed programme. The actual design, quantity, listing requirements and factory allocation are confirmed in the quotation.
Can every unit in a large order arrive in nine weeks?
The nine-week target applies to qualifying equipment with a confirmed factory allocation. A large order may need staged releases; the written quotation confirms quantities and arrival dates for each phase after the specification and drawings are accepted.
Can I attach my existing BOM or one-line?
Yes. Email the existing bill of materials, one-line or equipment schedule to tommy@jjtransformers.com. Include the destination and required arrival dates so J&J can review the whole package.
Do you publish a fixed price for every transformer size?
No. Voltage ratio, winding and enclosure design, accessories, tests, quantity and delivered scope affect the offered price. Request a written price for the actual configuration group.
