Buying several transformers or reviewing an exact ratio?
For a multi-unit order, specify each electrical configuration, accepted condition and delivery phase. Start with the current equipment records, then request the identity, documents, allocation and quote scope for each proposed unit.
Prepare a 525 kV transformer buying request
Review the Royal SMIT 525/69 kV equipment record using its actual winding schedule: 240/320/400 MVA cooling stages, a separate 250 MVA maximum step-down duty and a buried-delta tertiary. Send the source/output arrangement, required continuous MVA, quantity and date for a unit-specific quotation.
Which 525 kV transformer opportunities are listed?
The following 1 public records are open for inquiry. A listing may contain multiple units or offered positions. Sold and committed equipment is excluded, and submitted schedule quantities still require individual identity confirmation.
What does the 400 MVA rating cover?
The supplied nameplate lists 240/320/400 MVA cooling stages and a maximum of 250 MVA for step-down duty. A project requiring 400 MVA step-down must not use the 400 MVA step-up rating as evidence of suitability.
- Three-phase, 60 Hz with copper windings.
- 525 kV grounded-wye high side, 69 kV wye low side and 13.7 kV buried-delta tertiary.
- 2022 manufacture appears on the supplied nameplate; confirm service history and current condition with the quotation.
Can these units serve a 500 kV project?
The documented winding rating is 525 kV. The project engineer must compare the system voltage, tap range, insulation requirements, protection and required operating duty with the unit-specific records. A 500 kV system label alone does not establish a match.
What does 4–8 weeks to ship mean?
It is the estimated shipping window for the Netherlands lot, not a promised arrival or energization date. Confirm preparation, included accessories, transport scope, destination and receiving arrangements in the quotation.
J&J can provide the supplied factory test report, outline and nameplate for review. Confirm matching records for each selected unit and request current photos before final allocation. Availability is subject to prior sale and written confirmation.
525 kV step-down transformer requirements
For a 525 kV step-down request, provide both source and output winding voltages, required continuous MVA, quantity and project date. Compare the candidate's actual operating-direction limits, winding connections, grounding, taps, impedance, insulation and installation interfaces. The voltage page remains a screening route; the step-down hub explains duty and quotation evidence.
The Royal SMIT 525/69 kV record lists 240/320/400 MVA cooling stages and a separate 250 MVA maximum for step-down duty. The 400 MVA step-up rating is not a 400 MVA step-down rating. Its 13.7 kV buried-delta tertiary is not presented as an accessible external load supply.
525 kV-class transformer sale and quotation requirements
For a 525 kV-class transformer inquiry, identify both winding voltages, the required continuous MVA and the proposed step-down, GSU, substation or autotransformer duty. This voltage category helps organize a purchase request; it does not establish stock at every rating or automatically qualify a candidate for the system.
- Specify condition acceptance, quantity, winding connections, grounding, taps, impedance, installation limits and needed-on-site date.
- For 500 kV-system and 525 kV-nameplate inquiries, compare the actual insulation and system requirements. The Royal SMIT 525/69 kV candidate retains its separate 250 MVA maximum step-down rating.
Common questions
Written quotes and supporting records control unit-specific ratings, availability, condition, price, and delivery.
How do I request a 525 kV transformer price and delivery quote?
Contact Tommy Marco at 346-276-9540 or tommy@jjtransformers.com with the actual source and output voltages, continuous MVA, duty, quantity, site and required date. Identify condition preferences and include a nameplate, one-line or specification when available. The quotation confirms the proposed unit, records, accessories, allocation and transport scope.
Are the Royal SMIT units located in the USA?
No. The three Royal SMIT units are in the Netherlands. Sugar Land, Texas is J&J's company base.
How many 525/69 kV units are available?
J&J confirmed three units available on October 1, 2026. Current allocation remains subject to written confirmation and prior sale.
Who should I contact about this lot?
Contact Tommy Marco at 346-276-9540 or tommy@jjtransformers.com with your required duty, MVA, voltages, quantity, destination and delivery date.
Can I request several transformers with different voltage ratios or MVA ratings?
Yes. Send quantity per configuration, winding voltages, continuous MVA, accepted condition and required delivery phase to Tommy. The quotation identifies the actual unit, documents, allocation and included scope for every position. Identical-unit and parallel-operation requirements need explicit review.
