Outright purchase and agreed payment milestones
J&J quotes outright equipment purchases and reviews payment milestones for the selected unit. An offer may require an inspection deposit, an allocation deposit or staged payments, with the remaining balance due before shipment. The quotation sets the actual amounts, dates, release conditions and offer validity; a public listing does not reserve equipment.
Arrange an inspection before completing the purchase
Discuss access, the buyer's inspection team, electrical testing and acceptance requirements before scheduling a visit. For offers requiring a deposit before inspection, the written quotation states the deposit amount and refund conditions, including any failure-to-test or advertised-specification provisions. Supplied historical reports and new buyer-commissioned tests are identified separately.
- Match the nameplate, drawings and test reports to the selected equipment.
- Agree who performs and pays for the inspection and tests.
- Record the purchase deadline after inspection and any release conditions.
Warranty options depend on the exact equipment
Ask for the warranty provider, remaining coverage, transfer requirements, start date and exclusions with the quotation. New or unused status does not automatically establish a current factory warranty. A rebuilt offer may have separate service-provider terms; warranty or additional coverage is included only when supported by the selected offer.
| Confirm | What the quote should state |
|---|---|
| Provider | OEM, seller or named service provider responsible for the coverage |
| Period and start | Calendar end date or duration; shipment, delivery or energization basis |
| Transfer and scope | Consent requirements, covered work, exclusions and claims procedure |
Loading, transport and site-delivery options
J&J can coordinate loading and transportation for quoted equipment, including permits and escorts where the agreed route requires them. State the destination and receiving constraints when requesting the quote. Loading, freight, oil and accessory shipment, site offloading, assembly and commissioning responsibilities are identified individually; inclusion depends on the selected offer.
- Equipment release and preparation
- Loading and transport readiness
- Shipment and arrival at the agreed destination
- Site offloading and any separately agreed field work

Common questions
Written quotes and supporting records control unit-specific ratings, availability, condition, price, and delivery.
Can I inspect a transformer before purchasing it?
Inspection arrangements are reviewed for the selected unit. Agree access, testing, deposit requirements and the purchase deadline in writing before scheduling the inspection.
Is every inspection deposit refundable?
Refund conditions are specific to the offer. The quotation identifies the amount and the exact circumstances for a refund; do not assume an unrestricted refund.
Does a transformer quote include shipping?
Shipping can be included or quoted separately. Request the agreed destination, loading scope, transport milestones and site-offloading responsibilities in the written offer.
Do all new or unused transformers have an OEM warranty?
Warranty eligibility and transfer depend on the equipment and provider. Ask for written coverage, start and end dates, transfer terms and exclusions for the actual unit.
