For a multi-unit order, specify each electrical configuration, accepted condition and delivery phase. Start with the current equipment records, then request the identity, documents, allocation and quote scope for each proposed unit.
J&J can screen GSU transformers, unit and reserve auxiliary transformers, substation transformers, natural-gas and diesel generators, gas and steam turbines, and related electrical equipment against a defined project duty. A prime mover or transformer is not treated as a complete plant package unless every included boundary is identified.
The project team’s engineers should compare generator MVA and terminal voltage, grid voltage, frequency, winding connection and phase displacement, grounding, impedance and base, BIL, taps, cooling, losses, terminals, protection interfaces, physical arrangement, accessories, condition, transport state, and available test records. A matching MVA headline is not enough.
Request serial-specific nameplates, final drawings, certified factory tests when available, condition and preservation evidence, dimensions and weights, oil or shipping state, accessory lists, maintenance history for previously operated equipment, seller authority, inspection rights, location, freight boundaries, commercial terms, and written availability. Missing items should be listed as open, not assumed.
An existing unit can avoid a new manufacturing cycle, but identity checks, engineering deviations, inspection, any agreed testing, disassembly, oil handling, heavy-haul routing, permits, site foundations, accessories, assembly, commissioning, and utility or owner acceptance may still control the in-service date.
Yes. Owners and parties with written transfer authority may submit factory-built equipment released by canceled, deferred, redesigned, repowered, or completed projects; unused owner spares; and documented operational equipment suitable for reuse. Submit authority, identity, ratings, location, condition, records, included scope, loading responsibility, timing, and commercial expectations.
Specify the incoming utility or plant-bus voltage, the required output bus, continuous MVA and normal/contingency arrangement. Include the one-line, grounding, protection, installation interfaces and required site date. Generation or collector duty does not itself approve a candidate for supplying a project load in step-down operation.
For this project, define turbine/generator output, GSU duty, station-service step-down requirements and generator breaker interfaces. Send the one-line and a schedule of transformer, generator, turbine, switchgear, breaker or UPS requirements rather than combining unlike equipment under a single MW figure.
