Start with one clear equipment schedule
A request for several transformers needs more than a total MVA. Record quantity and ratings for each electrical configuration, then show the site-arrival date and the documents needed to accept that group.
| Schedule field | What to send |
|---|---|
| Group and quantity | Project tag, quantity of identical units, and whether alternatives may be reviewed |
| Required duty | Continuous MVA by cooling stage, temperature-rise basis and operating duty |
| Windings and connection | High/low/tertiary voltages, frequency, connection, neutral/grounding and tap requirements |
| Physical interfaces | General arrangement, terminal positions, receiving limits and any identical/parallel-operation requirement |
| Evidence and acceptance | Controlling specification, drawings, tests, inspection and warranty requirements |
| Delivery phase | Destination, needed-on-site date, loading/unloading scope and energization milestone |
Compare existing units and manufacturing positions separately
Already-built equipment, stored surplus, submitted opportunities and future production have different release and evidence bases. Identify the exact unit and dated offer for each position before treating a proposed package as allocated.
- Keep the listed quantity separate from the quantity currently reserved for your order.
- Match each unit's identity and records; one test report does not prove the condition of an entire multi-unit lot.
- A new OEM quotation has its own approved specification, factory schedule and delivery scope.
Keep every voltage group easy to review
For a mixed 138 kV, 230 kV or 345 kV project, give each ratio its own group. A 138/13.8 kV campus bus, a 230/34.5 kV collector connection and a 345/34.5 kV offer are separate requirements, even when they share a procurement date.
Specify identical units and parallel operation clearly
Say whether the purchase needs identical designs, interchangeable spares or units that will operate in parallel. Those are different acceptance requirements. Compare cooling stages, ratio, phase displacement, impedance and base, taps, controls and mechanical interfaces using each candidate's documents.
A completed two-transformer data-center sale
J&J's completed-sales record includes two identical 100 MVA Waukesha transformers with a 138/13.8 kV ratio for a data center with an urgent equipment requirement. The original equipment photo and confirmed ratings are published in the historical project record.
This is a completed historical sale. Current supply options require a separate equipment review and quotation.
Request a multi-unit transformer package quote
Call Tommy Marco at 346-276-9540 or email tommy@jjtransformers.com with the required ratings, quantity, destination and needed-on-site date. Attach the available equipment schedule, one-line or specification, and identify which groups are approved for purchase.
- Keep inspection, payment, release-to-ship and site-arrival milestones separate.
- Define accessories and wider substation, breaker, switchgear or generator scope as separate equipment tags.
- Request the current allocation, included costs and unresolved technical items for each quoted position.
Common questions
Written quotes and supporting records control unit-specific ratings, availability, condition, price, and delivery.
Can J&J quote several power or GSU transformers for one project?
Yes. Send quantity per voltage/MVA configuration, accepted condition, controlling specification and delivery phases. J&J can compare the published equipment and other sourcing or manufacturing options, with unit identity, allocation and included scope confirmed in writing.
Can a bulk order include different MVA ratings or voltage ratios?
Yes. Give each configuration its own schedule line, quantity, drawings and required date. Confirm technical acceptance and delivery for every offered unit; one group's match does not establish the fit of the others.
Does a website lot quantity mean that many units are reserved for my project?
No. The current written quotation and allocation terms identify what is available for your order. Listed quantity, factory positions and confirmed allocation are separate facts.
Is a multi-unit high-voltage order covered by the OEM equipment delivery target?
Its schedule is quoted by configuration and equipment source. J&J's OEM programme has separately confirmed manufacturing and shipping terms. Existing high-voltage inventory and future large-transformer positions retain their own release and site-delivery scope.
