Exact-ratio transformer sourcing

138/34.5 kV Transformers

Compare 138/34.5 kV transformer opportunities for collector substations, generation projects, and project replacements. J&J lists the public MVA ratings, tertiary voltage, quantity, and evidence for each candidate so your team can screen the actual equipment before requesting a technical package.

Listings are represented opportunities, not guaranteed stock. Before relying on a unit, confirm its availability, seller authority, condition, exact location, included scope, and technical suitability in writing. All listings are subject to prior sale. J&J is not the OEM or engineer of record.

Single-unit requirements and multi-unit collector projects

Specify whether you need one replacement, several matching units, or a staged release. A group listing and a single documented unit require different quantity and document checks. Request the records for each proposed unit before treating a group as interchangeable.

  • State the required MVA at each cooling stage, not only the highest nameplate rating.
  • Identify whether a tertiary is required, what it serves, and the acceptable voltage and rating.
  • For multiple units, identify matching requirements and any intended parallel operation for engineering review.
  • Separate the total project quantity from the quantity needed for the first delivery.

Send a requirement that can be matched

Start with MVA, quantity, project state, and needed-on-site date. Add the one-line or specification through direct follow-up with Tommy. The RFQ below already includes this voltage ratio.

Project information for the first review
RequirementWhat to provide
Equipment dutyCollector step-up, GSU, substation, replacement, or other defined duty
Electrical fitMVA by cooling stage, winding arrangement, tertiary duty, impedance basis, taps, and frequency
Project constraintsQuantity, state, receiving date, footprint, origin restrictions, and controlling specification
Commercial scopeRequired documents, inspection, included accessories, freight, loading, and acceptance conditions

Common questions

Written quotes and supporting records control unit-specific ratings, availability, condition, price, and delivery.

Can I source several 138/34.5 kV transformers together?

Send the total quantity, the required ratings, and a release schedule. J&J can review the public group and single-unit opportunities against that requirement. Group identity, individual records, quantity remaining, and availability must be reconfirmed before a proposal.

What if no listed 138/34.5 kV transformer meets my MVA requirement?

Send the full requirement anyway. J&J can review sourcing options without representing an unconfirmed unit as available. Include acceptable alternatives only when your engineering team has approved them.

Can I receive drawings and pricing?

Contact Tommy Marco at 346-276-9540 or submit an RFQ with the unit reference and project details. J&J will review document access, current availability, scope, and price for that candidate. Public equipment pages do not constitute a quotation.
