Technical highlights
- Caterpillar G3520K K-Series, 20-cylinder natural gas engines; 2,500 ekW / 3,125 kVA each at 0.8 power factor, 60 Hz, 480 V.
- Skid-mounted generator sets supplied without individual enclosures. Five equipment buildings are specified, each housing 20 generator sets.
- One Safety Power ecoCUBE SCR system per generator set. Emissions configuration and permit suitability are reviewed for the specific project location.
- Balance of plant: two GE 13/115/230 kV step-up transformers, one 3,200 A load bank, two main switchgear lineups and ten sub-line lineups, plant controls and protection, and 20 chiller-cooler units.
- The intermediate step-up from 480 V, medium-voltage collection, transformer MVA ratings and final one-line are established in the project engineering scope.
- Installation, commissioning, testing and documentation are included within the agreed EPC scope. Site responsibilities, exclusions and warranty terms are set out in the definitive written agreement.
- All 100 generator sets and supplied balance-of-plant equipment are specified for readiness within 90 days of deposit received in escrow. This is the equipment readiness milestone; the installation schedule follows site review.
